Modern Animal is reinventing the veterinary experience for today's pet parents, providing convenient, exceptional care through our warm, modern clinics and 24/7 virtual care. With existing clinics throughout California and Texas, we are thrilled to be opening our doors for the first time in Denver early 2025.
Role Overview:
We're looking for an experienced and go-getter Community Manager to be the face of our brand in Denver. As the Community Manager, you will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships within your market to drive favorable brand perception and drive membership growth. You’ll connect with both potential customers and strategic partners to create a meaningful brand presence for Modern Animal—combining your nuanced understanding of the city with an ability to engage with people to build a loyal member base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Deep Market Understanding: Leverage unparalleled understanding of the local market to provide valuable insights that will inform partner selection, community engagement and event integration, ensuring a tailored approach that resonates with Denver pet owners.
- Build a Loyal Member Base: As the face of Modern Animal in the local community, you will engage with potential members, foster excitement about the brand/our offerings, and educate them on our key differentiators.
- Partnership Development: Identify and secure strategic relationships with key identified partners and hotspots aligned with our brand and core audience.
- Event Execution: Help inform event strategy and participate in local activations to authentically engage with prospects and create excitement around Modern Animal.
- Nurture leads: Be the point of contact for any questions and further clarification needed on our services and explaining the MA difference — moving prospects through the sales funnel. This role reaches out to collected leads, offering promos and additional support to engage those met at the local events.
Qualifications:
Previous experience working as a Community Manager
Strong understanding of the market and local culture, particularly in relation to pet ownership and lifestyle trends.
Ability to effectively communicate brand messaging, value propositions & differentiators
Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect with a wide range of stakeholders.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to craft compelling partnership proposals.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and partnerships simultaneously.
Experience organizing and executing events
Proven track record of developing and maintaining successful partnerships with local businesses and organizations.
Passion for animals and Modern Animal’s mission
Outgoing, personable, and comfortable representing Modern Animal at events and in the community.
Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to collaborate.

Rate: $40/hour
Bonus structure: $20 for each new customer acquired
