📣 Job Posting: Experienced Mascots & Handler Needed — Albany, NY 📅 Dates: Friday, May 10th & Saturday, May 11th Time: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM 📍 Location: Washington Park 35 Willett St, Albany, NY 12210 🦸‍♂️ Positions & Pay: Mascot Performer: $31/hr Mascot Handler: $27/hr 👾 Mascot Performer Responsibilities: Entertain and engage with event attendees in a fun, friendly, high-energy manner. Represent the brand/team/organization positively while in costume. Pose for photos with fans and guests. Perform simple skits, dances, and movements to hype up the crowd. Safely interact with people of all ages, especially children. Stay in character at all times — no speaking or removing the costume in public view unless instructed. 🖤 Mascot Handler Responsibilities: Escort and assist the mascot during the event, ensuring safety, visibility, and smooth crowd interactions. Act as the mascot’s eyes and ears — guide them through crowds, tight areas, and uneven terrain. Help maintain safe, open space around the mascot. Assist with costume prep, dressing, and any adjustments or repairs. May be asked to carry water, towels, or cooling supplies for the mascot performer, especially outdoors. Help the mascot maintain character standards and performance guidelines in a friendly, supportive way. 👕 Uniform Requirements: Mascot Performer: Comfortable clothing and shoes (will be inside a costume). Handler: Clean, all-black business casual attire — no rips, holes, or distressed clothing. 📌 Notes: Seeking highly experienced mascot performers and handlers. Outdoor event — prepare for warm weather and extended standing/walking. Must be professional, reliable, and great with public interaction.
