The Opportunity...
Service Valets are a crucial member of our Doppler and Dealership teams, responsible for ensuring a seamless and convenient experience for our customers during vehicle servicing. This role involves delivering loaner vehicles to customers, swapping them with their vehicles, transporting customer vehicles to and from the dealership for servicing, and managing the return of the loaner vehicles. This role involves inspecting vehicles for damages, handling requisite follow up, and liaising with customers to guarantee a pleasant service experience.
How You'll Contribute...
• Deliver and Swap Vehicles: Promptly and courteously deliver loaner vehicles to customers' locations, ensuring all documentation and vehicle inspections are completed accurately. Swap the loaner vehicle with the customer's vehicle, noting any existing damages or issues.
• Safe Vehicle Transport: Safely transport customers' vehicles to the dealership for scheduled maintenance or repairs, ensuring timely and efficient service. Return serviced vehicles to customers, confirming all services have been completed to satisfaction.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers to coordinate vehicle pickup and delivery times, addressing any questions or concerns regarding the loaner or serviced vehicles. Greet all customers entering the service area with a friendly, upbeat attitude, and direct them to the appropriate person or location.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of vehicle deliveries, swaps, and returns. Conduct thorough pre- and post-service inspections of both loaner and customer vehicles, documenting any existing damages or new issues.
• Service Drive Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe service drive area, free of dirt, water, leaves, and snow. Ensure a professional appearance at all times.
• Additional Duties: Assist service advisors as needed, place vehicle interior protection, tag keys, and place mirror tags in all vehicles. Move vehicles to the appointed parking area, ensuring all windows are up and vehicles are locked. Adhere to all customer service processes, fill in for shuttle drivers as needed, bring customers' vehicles to the front of the service drive when directed, ensure customers' vehicles are free of dirt and grease after service, and guide vehicles through the car wash. Perform light lifting duties as required.
What We're Looking For...
• At least 21 years old
• A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Experience driving a range of vehicles; manual transmission a plus.
• Exceptional commitment to safety
• Strong sense of accountability
• Excellent communication and a positive attitude
• An eye for presentation and detail
• Prior experience in customer service or a related field is preferred
• Computer and tech skills and familiarity with in-vehicle technology
