GMR is currently hiring a Traveling Brand Ambassador/DOT Driver to join our team! Under the direction of the GMR In Market Experience Team, the brand ambassador will serve as a brand representative for a tobacco brand at a diverse mix of in person events across the US.
The ideal Traveling Brand Ambassador is an engaging, charismatic, professional, polished, and articulate candidate who loves to connect with consumers in a genuine and authentic way. They should embody both agency and brand attributes and be able to maintain high energy levels for extended periods of time. They must be able to adapt to change quickly, as the job responsibilities, schedule, and locations will remain fluid throughout the program.
This is a full-time, salaried position that requires full and open availability, as (approximately) 40% of obligations will take place during normal business hours, while the other (approximately) 60% will require evening and weekend work. This position will include travel across US and is a 100% travel-based position.
WHAT YOU'LL EXPECT //
Do you love events? Do you love to travel? Do you love educating and teaching others about new brands? In this role, you'll be attending a diverse landscape of events (Ex- Music, Motorsports, Cultural) across the continental US, where you’ll be working in a team to transport, setup, and maintain a tour trailer, will be interacting with consumers and providing individualized product education experiences, and will be the face of the brand and the agency.
Are you looking for something different than a typical desk job? Expect only 1-2 hours a week of completing administration tasks while the rest of your week will consist of driving the activation materials between locations, building the activation space, and representing the brand during different events. The majority of events activation hours occur over the weekend.
YOUR IMPACT //
Represent the brand at key events and activations Educate and reinforce brand attributes with ATC21+
Complete administrate requests promptly, including but not limited to; DOT logs, expense reports, time sheets, per diem requests, etc.
Transport tour materials throughout the country via a Truck / Trailer Maintain inventory controls and protocols to protect company assets
YOUR EXPERIENCE //
Demonstrated experience in the promotions industry. Tour experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to learn and communicate brand attributes and talking points. Demonstrated ability to drive large vehicles and maintain DOT compliance
Ability to pass background clearance/driving clearance/medical card requirements to become a DOT driver for GMR
DOT training will be provided 21 years of age or older.
Strong written, verbal, presentation, and public speaking skills.
Working knowledge of computers with average skills in Windows, Excel, Word, and Email. Ability to learn new computer programs quickly and efficiently.
Ability to perform physically demanding duties, including but not limited to assembling and disassembling objects, and the use of hand and power tools, climbing ladders, etc.
Ability to frequently stand, walk, and reach above shoulders, kneel, stoop or bend at the waist. Ability to use hands to finger, handle, touch objects or controls, and talk or hear.
Close vision.
Ability to lift 50-100 pounds and to sit or stand for extended period
