Overview
The Retail Execution Specialist is responsible for bringing supplier’s Ready To Drink (RTD) brands to life in-market, specifically in key retail stores. Activities will be focused on merchandising, branding, and selling in an effort to prime our brands success with consumers and retail staff.
Core Accountabilities
• Visit accounts daily in the off-premise channel in the outlined territory, centered around both existing and targeted distribution to enhance retail execution (e.g., shelf, cold box, display)
• Build trust with retail managers/workers/receivers via effective communication and add value to their store.
• Inspect “Ready To” shelf relative to standards, including but not limited to: pricing tags or signs, correct shelf placement/adjacencies to competitors, cold box execution, impactful display execution, prominent and appropriate POS, new product launches, and timely brand programs
• Deliver and deploy displays, POS material, and other legal, branded collateral in partnership with local supplier team and within RTD execution guidance, in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Leverage established customer relationships to sell RTD display programs in collaboration with the local supplier team and in alignment with local marketing calendars and available POS
• Relay and recap status of these accounts to supplier and wholesaler contacts. Notifying local supplier and wholesaler teams immediately when there are low or no-inventory, noticeable brand problems or product concerns, or with specific store requested follow ups
• Keep abreast of competitive trends and reporting appropriate developments, conducting “in account” surveys to understand pricing trends, track competitors’ retail and activation strategies, and help to identify incremental opportunities for our RTD products.
• Recap in-market activities in a consistent fashion with the use of “GoSpotCheck” app and sharing these results with the greater team bi-monthly.
• Know, understand, comply with, and abide by all Federal and State laws pertaining to handling alcoholic beverages and the promotion thereof.
Monthly Focus:
• 18 (or more) days (90%+ of time) in market driving the above core responsibilities, driving retail execution, merchandising, surveying, evaluating distribution, display, and ad feature execution.
• 2 (or less) days (10%- of time) managing all administrative requirements due on a weekly or monthly basis (survey information, recapping to supplier and wholesalers on market insights and opportunities.
