Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Product Specialist that live locally to Des Moines, Iowa to represent an automotive brand throughout 2025 at various events. If you are passionate about cars, have a solid understanding of automotive technologies, and excel in public speaking, this role is perfect for you. You'll be responsible for educating and engaging a variety of audiences, from customers to industry stakeholders, while highlighting the unique features and benefits of our products. Key Responsibilities • Product Expertise: Act as the go-to expert on our vehicle lineup, offering detailed knowledge of each model’s technologies and features. • Public Engagement: Lead captivating product demonstrations and presentations for clients, media, and event participants. • Technical Communication: Simplify and explain complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences. • Event Representation: Represent the brand at events, trade shows, pop-ups, and product launches, serving as the primary technical expert. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and engineering teams to maintain consistent messaging and ensure technical accuracy. • Lead Generation: Develop creative lead-generation strategies to spark excitement and interest in both current and upcoming products. • Industry Awareness: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies. Qualifications • Location: Must be local (within 40 miles of Des Moines, IA). • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of automotive technologies, including infotainment, connectivity solutions, and vehicle components. • Public Speaking: Outstanding presentation and public speaking skills, with the ability to confidently engage large audiences, media, and VIPs. • Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of resolving technical issues during live demos and presentations. • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and customer service skills, with a focus on creating positive interactions. • Travel Availability: Willingness to travel for events, training, and product launches, including some overnight stays. Preferred Qualifications • Event Experience: Experience representing automotive brands at trade shows or other public-facing events. • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with autonomous driving systems, artificial intelligence, and electric vehicle (EV) technologies. • Automotive Experience: Prior experience as a product specialist or similar role in the automotive industry.
