"I'd like the teach the world to sing, in perfect harmony....." This is part of a traditional holiday Coca-Cola song and it gives an uplifting feeling that will hopefully carry over into YOU wanting to be our Coca-Cola Polar Bear at a really special event: Coca-Cola is the presenting sponsor for a special fundraising event at the Charlotte Lights The Knights Winter Festival in downtown Charlotte, NC.
If you've got the Spirit of the Holidays and would love to entertain people while dressed as the Coca-Cola Polar Bear mascot, have we got a great assignment for you!
We're looking for one person from in or near Charlotte who is approximately 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 2 inches tall and who can weigh up to about 250 pounds. These are the parameters for the best fit and for using the Coca-Cola Polar Bear costume.
Our Trained Handler will guide you at all times during this event. The handler helps you get dressed, get through doors, keeps you from tripping, and speaks Polar Bear to translate your hand and body movements into words or feelings for those you encounter. Kids love the Coca-Cola Polar Bear and it seems everyone wants a photo with our fluffy, cuddly white bear!
There will be a special showing of Dr. Suess' "How The Grinch Stole Christmas," and the green Grinch will make a special appearance and need to be run off by the fan favorite Coca-Cola Polar Bear.
Here's the schedule we need you to fill......
Tuesday, December 17th from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.* at the Charlotte Knights Stadium on Mint Street in Downtown. *-Times may be shortened to four hours total.
This event pays at least 4 hours, even if you get finished early. Our Mascots work 35 to 40 minute shifts and then take a cooling break in between shifts to get out of the costume, get something cold to drink (Coke or Diet Coke!), relax, and tell stories of the fun that was just experienced!
This is not a speaking character.
If you are available December 17th in Charlotte and would like to land an awesome role that gives you a great feeling of happiness after each encounter, please respond ASAP to JoAnn Aubry (jaubry@pbapromos.com) with the following information required for consideration:
1.) Your full legal name as it appears on a state issued ID. We are required to conduct background checks on those who apply.
2.) Include your cell phone number with area code and permission to text you information on the assignment you will work.
3.) We need your email address as we pay electronically and also have additional information to send you for certain promotions.
4.) We need a head & shoulders selfie or photo of you alone so we know who to expect at work. The photo needs to be of the "human" you, not one of your mascot characters.
5.) Please share with us if you've ever done any promotional work as a mascot in the past. If so, which one? Explain what you had to do? Would you do it again? Why do you want our role?
6.) You must put "POLAR BEAR - CHARLOTTE" on the SUBJECT: or RE: line of your email to jaubry@pbapromos.com.
AFTER you send your information to jaubry@pbapromos.com, please text JoAnn Aubry at (609) 685-3181 the following message: "Hello, I'm _______ (Fill In Your Full Legal Name) and I'd LOVE to be the COCA-COLA POLAR BEAR at the special event as part of Charlotte Lights The Knights. I'm available December 17th and can make a 100% commitment to work for you at $35.00 an hour."
We'll review your information and get back to you as quickly as we can. All of our performers must be 18 years of age or older and must not have any felony arrests/convictions or any crimes committed against women & children. If you do, please don't bother as we are required to check and can't hire you.
Your performance on Tuesday, December 17th can lead to other assignments throughout the winter months as the Coca-Cola Polar Bear at additional special events.
